Ever tried savory oatmeal before? You need to try this delicious cheesy oatmeal that’s topped with the perfectly fried egg! Eggs and Oats go so well together. For this recipe, all you need is eggs, oats, green onion & cheddar.
1. Take one medium saucepan and boil 500ml (2 cups) water. Add oats and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper. Reduce a flame to low and stir them occasionally for 15 to 18 minutes or until it is tender. After this, stir 1 tbsp of butter.
2. Take another non-stick skillet and pour the remaining butter in that over medium flame. Now, break the eggs into the skillet, cover them and cook it for 2-3 minutes or until the eggs are just ready like a sunny side up.
3. Finally, divide the oatmeal into 4 bowls and sprinkle it with some cheese and the green onion. Top them with each fried egg and season the remaining with pepper and salt.
