CAN DIABETIC PEOPLE EAT EGGS ?

The eggs have long been considered high in cholesterol and not a recommended food for people with diabetes. 

However a 2016 study by the American Diabetes Associations (ADA) states that eating eggs in moderation could improve fasting blood sugar. Many nutritionists recommend including eggs in diabetic diets as eggs are more satiating and help in weight management and low carbohydrate intake. Healthy weight is very important for people who have diabetes as it lowers insulin resistance. 

What are the benefits of eggs?

Eggs have a high nutritional value, suggesting they’re rich in nutrients but contain low calories. Foods high in protein, such as egg protein, can help people feel full for a longer time. This helps people with diabetes and others maintain a healthy weight.

Although the white of an egg contains most of the protein, the yolk is a good source of vitamins (A, D, E and B, especially vitamin B12). It is additionally a source of lutein, an antioxidant that appears to block or reduce the damaging effects of free radicals in different parts of the body.

Is there a connection between eggs and diabetic?
